($45) The Baxter Winery's second vintage of Pinot Noir offers a serious
nose of deep cherry, slight black walnut, root beer and spice notes,
while the flavors run toward cherry and cranberry with a bit of tannin

Valley Pinot Noir ($28) Young and very ripe with an almost jammy nose,
this wine is Pinot on its way to Syrah, with some heat and tannins on
the finish.
